Honda has brought the all new Civic Type R to the SEMA Show, and it’s already drawing rave reviews. As the official North America Civic Type R debut, Honda is living up to already huge expectations of the new Honda hatchback. The Paris Motor Show was the Civic Type R debut on a global scale, and now it’s ready to wow on US soil.

The official US Civic Type R debut comes on the heels of the new 2017 Honda hatchback arriving in dealer showrooms just last month. The amount of buzz around the Type R at the 2016 SEMA Show is already building. It’s fair to say that the new Civic Type R debut has aftermarket performance manufacturers ready to pounce. In fact, Honda has already announced a full catalog of specialized Honda Factory Performance parts for the new Civic Type R.

Honda has coined their SEMA 2016 offering as “Civicpalooza” and they are delivering in spades. Along with the official Civic Type R debut, there are many other Civic hatchbacks, sedans and coupes being highly tweaked for the 2016 SEMA Show. These highly modified Civics include a range of aftermarket parts, from dress up accessories to upgraded brake and wheel combinations.

One of the highlighted CTR’s at the SEMA Show will include this incredible looking Global Rally Cross hatchback. Built by the Olsbergs MSE (OMSE) group and powered by Red Bull, this GRC race car is a beast. Taking on 70 foot jumps and packing more than 600 horsepower under the hood, this is one Honda Civic Type R you don’t want to mess with.

Not to be lost amid the Honda Civic Type R debut hype is this incredible 2016 Honda Civic built for endurance racing. Straight from Team Honda Research West, this Civic will be making it’s appearance at the USAF 25 Hours of Thunderhill race.

Outfitted with an FIA-spec roll cage and a host of aerodynamic upgrades, including an aggressive swan neck rear wing, this is one Civic Type R to keep an eye out for. Watch to this Honda Civic Type R debut at Thunderhill soon!
