There’s a storm brewing on the hatchback front in the US, and the 2017 Honda Civic hatchback will be front and center. Just last week the folks over at autoevolution managed to capture some shots of the all new 2017 Honda Civic hatchback in all of it’s camouflaged glory. Now that the 2017 Honda Civic spy shots are public, we can see what the new Honda looks like.
In fact the photographers were also able to capture an inside look at the hot hatchback. These images below are sans the infotainment screen but it still gives Honda fans a great way to imagine what the 2017 Honda Civic hatchback will look like. There’s been quite a bit of buzz around the 2017 Honda Civic spy shots, despite the camo wrap.
One of the first and most obvious things you can take away from the 2017 Honda Civic spy shots is the lack of body kit and aero. The aggressive styling that was present on the 2017 Honda Civic concepts have been stripped away. Gone also are the set of twin exhaust pipes that were present in Geneva on the new Honda Civic hatchback. In fact, the new 2017 Honda Civic spy shots don’t seem to show an exhaust present at all.
Other things of note include the rear end, which looks slimmer and less aggressive. One of the most striking visual styling cues that we liked about the 2017 Honda Civic hatchback was the large C-shaped rear taillights.
There are other cues that you can guess at, even through the messy camouflage. One of the biggest changes however are to the rear door windows. These look almost integrated into the door, as if the rear hatch is nothing more than just door trim.
Of course what most people are excited about is the interior pics of 2017 Honda Civic spy shots. It looks much like the current 10th generation Civic, although it was missing the infotainment system.
It remains to be seen what the new 2017 Honda Civic hatchback will look like, but one thing is for sure.
