Pro Street is proud to announce we are now shipping the new TEIN Flex Z coilovers from all warehouses. These all new coilovers are made at TEIN’s Yokohama factory to accommodate for the new standard of quality that the Japanese suspension company has set. TEIN Flex Z coilovers are a twin tube design that are remarkably flexible and robust for any street application.
What’s this mean to the average performance enthusiast? You don’t need to break the bank for a genuine Japanese product which puts many of the Chinese suspension companies on high alert. Why spend 700 dollars on cheap Chinese coilovers when for just a few dollars more you can have a genuine TEIN product? This is what the new Yokohama facility and the FLEX Z coilovers represent, quality suspension components without the high dollar price.
Due to the lower perch adjustment design, this means you can lower your vehicle as much as you want to achieve that aggressive stance. Unlike traditional progressive spring setups, you won’t need to shave or cut bumpstops to prevent bottoming out.
What does this mean? it means that your ride height has zero impact on your suspension travel. No matter how low your vehicle is, you are ensured the full travel within your coilover plunger and the body of your shock. No more bottoming out and no more issues at high speed. As with any full bodied coilover solution, you must always preload your coilovers to ensure proper installation.
With a starting price point around 900 dollars, this new TEIN coilover is set to change the landscape of performance suspension. Sold as a complete coilover set for all four corners, these new FLEX coilovers are a comprehensive system with top hat included for most applications.
How is TEIN able to sell this low?
TEIN is basing their new coilover lineup on their “Sealed Structure” approach to performance suspension. Using a core strut that’s sealed and therefore replaceable, upgrading and servicing the new TEIN coilovers is now easier than ever.
Shown above this process is changing the way in which TEIN suspension is manufactured, giving everyone a chance to own quality Japanese suspension. The increase in efficiency makes it easy for TEIN to pass the savings onto you, and reduces manufacturing costs from seam welding that normally drove up the price point.
Twin Tube Low Friction Performance
TEIN’s twin tube system provides maximum performance and a stable, predictable reaction over bumps and imperfections. High quality suspension coilovers use a combination of full stroke, low friction suspension travel to keep your spine from compressing when you use high spring rates.
Because the oil and gas chambers work in conjunction in a twin tube system, your suspension stroke is fully realized each and every time. This technology results in a predictable ride no matter where you are driving and how fast you are going.
The new TEIN coilovers also feature 16 way adjustments to damping force. This damping adjustment combines compression and rebound rates together in one handy adjustment which is accessed through the top of your coilover.
If you want to adjust the rebound rate of your coilovers, simply twist and click the TEIN “ADVANCE Needle” to adjust the oil flow and how the suspension reacts.
This means changing how your suspension reacts and how your car handles is as easy as turning a knob.
Want more? No problem because these new FLEX coilovers are also EDFC compatible! The first electronic suspension control system ever utilizes patented stepper motors to make the changes on the fly from inside your cabin.
Combine the EDFC with your new TEIN coilovers and you can go from driving around your family to full track mode in an instant.
Damping force adjustments are at your fingertips, and with the FLEX Z coilovers the upper mounts are included which makes it easy for anyone to install TEIN coilovers.
As with all TEIN suspension coilovers, the ZT Coating ensures years of optimal performance and high quality. This makes the TEIN coilovers ideal for anyone living in cold climates or exposed to salt in their roads.
All TEIN Coilovers spring sets are manufactured from high-tensile steel and cold formed for excellent anti-sagging properties. These springs feature a tensile strength of 200kgf/mm2 which give you a superior stability regardless of where you live or how you drive.
