Inside the 2020 Honda Civic
Honda’s Civic has been the best selling model in America the last 3 years in a row, and it doesn’t look to relinquish that title any time soon. What makes the Civic so popular? Taking a look at the value and tradition of excellence, it’s not hard to see why.
The Civic Sport is still one of the best selling models, with a ton of aesthetic features and tweaks. With a variety of black painted aero upgrades and an optional six-speed transmission, the Civic Sport will be a factor in the small car segment.
Sport trims also come with the optional i-VTEC 2.0 liter engine, and feature a center-exit exhaust system. Civic owners opting for the 2.0L engine will boast 158 horsepower with 138 ft-lbs of torque. With upgraded suspension components, the Sport isn’t just a fancy trim level for the Japanese automaker.
Touring, EX and EX-L models of the Civic come with a 1.5L turbocharged powerplant, producing 174hp and 167 ft-lbs of torque. CVT transmissions are also standard for most models of the new Civic, further ushering the demise of the manual transmission.
