Kawabata’s Toyo Tires Toyota looks every bit the part as one of the early competition ready drift A90 Supras. Outfitted with the MKIV 2JZ engine swap, the Toyo Supra is ready to attack the corners with Wisefab components at each corner.
Sporting Pandem widebody aero and Endless brakes, there is a ton of anticipation regarding just how the new Supra will fare. One thing is clear however, is that the propensity to lean on the previous generation Supra engine is the popular choice.

That’s not to say that the early wave of hasn’t had their fair share of early issues. Early this month Saito’s 2JZ A90 Supra caught on fire during an early practice run for D1 pro exhibition. His drift Supra has since had the fuel gremlins worked out, and just in time as the 2019 GP D1 series gets underway April 1st.
