2019 Camaro SEMA

Chevy had more than just a new 2019 Camaro paint job to show off at this year’s SEMA show. On top of the neon tennis ball yellow color aptly named “Shock,” the 2019 Camaro SS also receives a bit of a face lift.

Not to say anything was wrong with the old SS front end, but these changes are definitely ones that have split the fanbase a bit. Check out more with this video from LethalGarage that outlines all of the improvements.

The changes to the 2019 Camaro SS subtle yet daring enough to improve an already awesome stance. Straying away from the conventional look of the production SS, the new Camaro shows off a bowtie squarish badge that blends into the rest of the front end.

Looking at it over time, I can definitely say it’s growing on me but initial reactions are mixed to say the least. The primary issue with the look of this new 2019 Camaro SS is that the changes to the front end make it look more like a lower end V6 or even four cylinder Camaro.

Not exactly what you are looking for when paying the premium sticker price, let’s just say that.

While the changes to the front end of the SS make the car look sleeker, there’s bound to be the purist in every group that thinks Chevy just punched a hole in the front of the car.

What will this mean for the next model Camaro, which should be just around the corner? Whatever it means, Chevy wanted to showcase the 2019 Camaro on the biggest automotive aftermarket stage in the world and they did.
