The familiar brap brap of the Wankel has to be one of the most unique engine sounds on planet Earth, and the wow factor is cranked up when you peek under the hood to see a tri-turbo setup. We’ve seen awe inspiring multiple rotor builds before but this triple turbocharger setup and the exhaust manifold absolutely take the cake.
Mazda’s new RX9 has had more than it’s fair share of controversy, including the overestimated horsepower levels. It’s still a well made machine and designed well, despite it’s drawbacks however. Recently there’s been rumors of a new turbocharged RX-8 powered by the next Renesis engine.
While there’s new hope for the production RX8 and it’s eventual successor, there’s no questioning this 3 rotor, triple turbocharged insane RX8. This build and setup is enough to lay down an impressive 6 second pass, and according to the tuner there’s more to come.
