As a leader in sport compact suspension performance, TEIN has always strived for excellence in their racing products and customer service. Setting the bar is a regularity for the Japanese manufacturer, as evidenced by one of the first remote suspension adjustment devices, the TEIN EDFC.
Their Mono Sport Coilover has definitely turned heads with it’s competitive price break and large range of features. And setting the bar again, TEIN has announced new part numbers for the 2000-09 Honda S2000 ( Part #: GSH64-71SS3 ), the 2013+ Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S ( Part #GSQ54-71SS1 ) and the 2008 Lexus IS-F ( GSC72-71SS3 )
This gives owners of these models even more choices than the typical “ebay coilover” or expensive race suspension that might be too punishing for everyday street use.
TEIN revised their internal lubrication channels to improve overall performance and ease of adjustability. A newly developed housing for the Mono Sport gives TEIN the ability to provide an easy click assembly for the dampening adjustment.
The Mono Sport offers the same 16 levels of progressive compression and rebound, but with TEIN’s new design named the “ADVANCE M.S.V.” gives improved range of adjustability. TEIN started out with the intent of improving the range of steering response, road ability and traction performance and they reached their goal.
The new applications should be up on our store website shortly, and available for install after 5/25/2014.

In certain terms, street usage may be the toughest situation for suspensions. And specifications for circuit or rally usage call for the ultimate refinement. However, adapting this into street usage, not only does it call for premium sports performance, but an additional requirement compatibility with series production fittings and comfort must also be fulfilled.
In particular, since the partial revision of the safety regulations in Japan, the height adjustable shock absorbers which have been categorized as “competition auto parts” are now seen as parts with broad usage.
So whether or not you have your coilover of choice, TEIN has certainly added to their lineup of adjustable coilovers at a an affordable price.
And when you consider the research and development TEIN has put into these coilovers, you begin to appreciate the price break they are being provided at.
All of these prototypes are fitted onto actual car to check feeling and for specification tests using an on – board data processing system.
