Hyundai has been busy at work revolutionizing their lineup of sport compact vehicles, with mixed results depending on who you ask. Showing a full stable of vehicles this past year for the 2013 SEMA Show, we got to see Hyundai’s Legato, Veloster as well as the many talents of Bisimoto Engineering.
One can’t mention the performance name of Hyundai without invoking ARK Racing, another Southern Korean counterpart company. Assisting the Korean auto manufacturer at SEMA this past year, ARK Racing helped build the new Genesis Coupe Legato Concept.
ARK Performance takes not one but two Hyundai Genesis Coupes to the task prepping them for the upcoming Formula DRIFT season. Naming the two slide missles “AR1” and “AR7”, ARK Motorsports will deliver two of the more anticipated chassis for the 2014 Formula Drift season.
Teaming up with ARK will be the two driver team of Dennis Mertzanis and Patrick Mordaunt to pilot the matching Hyundai Genesis Legato builds with different engine platforms.
