When we first heard about the 1000 HP Bisimoto Genesis with Hyundai’s backing heading to SEMA, we certainly thought that the Korean car manufacturer was stepping up their game. How far they are really pushing this year just might have been underestimated by us after looking at the 1000 HP Genesis turbocharged rocket.
With news out of Autoweek regarding Hyundai’s two other offerings, a raced out looking ARK Racing built Hyundai Legato and a neon fused Hyundai Velostar that ensures that Hyundai will be making a huge splash at the 2013 SEMA Trade Show.
This concept drawing of the Legato shows off a litany of new body aero from new side skirts to front and rear bumpers as well as the deck lid, ARK and Hyundai have seriously turned this Legato into a one-of-a-kind racer.
With 400 horsepower and 425 ft lbs of tq, this stroked 3.8 Lambda V6 is now a 4.0 liter engine with a ARK crankshaft, oil cooler and carbon clutch.
While the Legato brings back memories of the mid 90s import craze, this very yellow Hyundai Velostar is a turbocharged street racer converted to this trim by accessory supplier EGR Group, As these drawings are currently conceptual, we’ll have to wait for the show to actually check these bad boys out!
