There is no doubting the potential of Nissan’s flagship supercar, but Alpha Racing just set a new standard.
The capability of the GTR is no secret at all. After all, when you combine the incredible turbocharged V6 engine against the advanced Nissan all-wheel-drive system, you’ve got a winning recipe. When you take all of that into account, there’s no wonder that the new world record now belongs to this 3000hp GTR.
To power this incredible beast, Extreme Turbo Systems was called upon to provide the power. This purpose built race car is exactly that. Fully gutted with no interior and a full roll cage, this GT-R puts down well over 3000 horsepower. Scary thing is, according to 1320 video, there’s more power to extract from Alpha Racing’s 3000hp GTR.
Their 3000hp GTR took just 6.88 seconds to hurl itself down the quarter mile track. Tipping the traps at 222 mph, the GTR is a testament to the efforts from Extreme Turbo Systems and Alpha Racing.
The 3000hp GTR broke the world record at the Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack half-mile competition, with an eye on breaking the top speed record. The last record holder belonged to a suped-up Lamborghini Huracan. The Huracan set the bar at 250.2 mph before the Alpha Racing GT-R arrived on the scene. The ETS powered GTR set the new top speed record of 255.53 mph, with much more to come.
