[fusion_text]The premier car show in Northern California took place over the weekend, and the BLOX Evo2 car show at Pier 70 was probably the best event yet. BLOX Racing has been one of the industry leaders in Honda performance products, and their show has quickly grown into one of the best that Norcal has to offer.
The Evo2 car show grew from the parking lots of Fremont and the BLOX Open House events, and combines the best Bay Area sport compacts in one locale. The show’s main theme is built on the Japanese word “kaizen,” which centers around the continued improvement and “Evolution,” which is what the show aims to embody in every way.
You’ll find many of the same events found at other car shows, but Evolution’s location and unique collection of vendors provides a very different experience. Pier 70’s rustic and scenic details provide an excellent and stark contrast to the highly modified vehicles both inside and outside of the show.
The official sponsor of this tremendous show was Scion Racing, and backed by their strong role in Formula DRIFT, had several Scions on full display at the car show.
Most of the show attendees were busy at the ScionRacing interactive booth, one of the many events and things to do at the BLOX car show.
Some of the best Bay Area tuner shops also made their appearance, with Speed Element leading the way.
Headlining several Mitsubishi Evolutions as well as many of their own personal cars, their presence at BLOX EVO2 was undeniable.
Not forgotten in the shuffle was the extensive lineup of Hondas and Acuras in the show. BLOX Racing’s legion of Honda fans were out in full force, blending some of the old school with the new.
The BLOX car show also had a lot of variety, including a very interesting graffiti contest and host of other interactive car show activities. The car show model headlining the event was Ashley Vee, who spent most of her day being bothered by our guys.
Some of the official vendors of this show were also out in force, so make sure to pay them their dues. One such vendor we’d like to applaud is City League, and their Evrystep Evrystyle Dance Battle was definitely a must see. The car show as we know it is continuing to change and evolve, and the team at BLOX put on one hell of a show.
No matter what you were looking for in a car show, this one had it all and easily is one of the best car shows in California. We are looking forward to next year and the team at BLOX Racing is a sure bet to deliver once again. Want more coverage of BLOX EVO2 car show? Check out our gallery below or see their website.
