The GTR had always been the ring of which all import enthusiasts would dream about, and when Nissan made the dream come true, we couldn’t be happier. The return of a true Japanese supercar, built the same way the Japanese supercars of yesteryear, the GTR raises the bar across the board for motorsport performance.
So we’ve all seen the grossly overpowered and demonic builds that many shops and enthusiasts have set their mind to, and loved every second. It doesn’t seem so long ago that 1000hp seemed unreachable or absurd, but for the folks over at T1 Race Development this is about the midway point of performance tuning.
We couldn’t believe the monster of a GTR they have built, with the sole purpose of 1/4 and 1/2 mile racing we’d say they are on the right track. Their GTR puts down nearly 2,000 whp which is not only an incredible feat of engineering but a testament to Nissan and the gurus at T1 Race Development.
