Opening their doors in 1997 Vibrant Performance has been one of our most favorite manufacturers, with a bevy of components for the DIY crowd. Starting from their roots of exhaust and induction components, Vibrant has been steadily evolving their product line and have now become one of the largest fabrication manufacturers in the aftermarket segment.
Continuing to move forward and innovate rather than stagnate, Vibrant has continually added, improved and expanded their catalog into the behemoth it is today.
Along with expanding their product line, they’ve also branched out to different motorsports as well as different segments of the aftermarket. Increasing the likelihood that no matter what vehicle you drive and race, sport compact, domestic or european, Vibrant has the parts you need at the prices you want.
In addition to the Vibrant Performance branded products, they also build and fabricate components for many other manufacturers on a private label basis. Many of these private labeled products are sold under some of the industry leading names, further strengthening Vibrant’s position as an industry leader.
But to stay at the top it takes more than products and pricing, it takes guts and innovation in a market that doesn’t always reward innovators. That won’t stop Vibrant as evidenced by their new line of intercooler cores that have undergone an 100% redesign to bring the very best in induction cooling to the market.
These intercooler cores are now rated well into the 900 wheel horsepower range, and are available in over 12 different sizes, cores and fin designs. In order to match today’s horsepower numbers and pavement beating power, a longtime mainstay that was the Vibrant intercooler has undergone a radical transformation.
Vibrant’s intercooler cores, end tanks, fittings, exhaust pipes and collectors have all powered racers through the 90s, and their willingness to redo what wasn’t broken only shows their true desire to be the best.
Vibrant improved the basic core design to increase heat dissipation by packing more surface area and material into their heat exchangers to dramatically increase temperature coefficient.

These Vibrant Intercooler Core measurements and specifications show you that these cores mean business. You will need end tanks to complete your installation, and have these welded on by a professional. If you are local to the Northern California Bay Area and need this done, give us a call.
Vibrant’s new louvered fin design decreases intercooler core pressure drop and increases velocity and surface area, resulting in a superior product and lower intake temperatures. This means better sizing for end users, a better product and higher engine output as well as reliability.
Another easy difference to spot is the charge tube and the integration of staggered fins that has been engineered to diverge and cool the incoming charge air.

very cool
[…] The obvious upgrades would be a great choice here, either upgrading the side mount air to air intercooler or stepping up to a front mount, now is a good time. Selecting a front mount for your chassis will allow you to get the 2JZGTE pipes as well. For more information on intercooler sizing, check out our article here. […]
