And who better to release a new LSx product than the folks at AEM Electronics fresh off their success with their Infinity ECU at Thunderhill in the NASA endurance race, with a true layover engine harness for the popular LSx engine set.
Although the new Infinity ECU has seen much early success in multiple forms of Motorsport including Global Rallycross Super Lites, Pirelli World Challenge GTS, NHRA, Formula Drift, IFO Drag Racing and Global Time Attack, this was the first time the ECU was called upon for endurance racing. And the AEM Infinity pulled off a huge victory in spades by delivering “flawless” performance under serious conditions.
The Infinity Layover Engine Wiring Harness for the GM LS motorset has been designed by AEM to make engine swaps or full standalone ecu installation a breeze. Meant for GM LS engines with a 24X timing pattern this wiring harness offers the complete solution for any racer looking to install the Infinity Programmable ECU onto their 24x LS engine. A true plug and play affair, this wiring loom simply plugs into the factory sub harness and power harnesses and is designed to utilize the factory sensors in every regard.
Some may ask what’s the difference between this harness as another company’s true plug and play harness like the S13 Chase Bays harness? Check out our review on their product here, but the main differences is that this harness delivers just a little bit more of protective features than the ChaseBays unit.
This AEM flying loom comes with many additional features such as an integrated fuse and relay panel that makes wiring accessories easier as well as safer. There is also a engine circuit breaker and optional relays for fuel pumps or additional radiator cooling fans.
