By the time the rain stopped and the dust had settled, the No. 36 PETRONAS TOM’S SC430 (driven by Kazuki Nakajima and James Rossiter) had capped off a miraculous comeback from behind to claim the win in Round 7 of the AUTOBACS SUPER GT series.
After their great comeback from 10th place to the pole position, the TOM’s SC430 recorded their second win of the season following their crucial win in Round 2 at Fuji and it moved them into second place in the season standings.
The REITO MOLA GT-R, Weider Modulo HSV-010 and the No.24 D’station ADVAN GT-R rounded out the 4th to 6th place positions at Autopolis, but the GT-R teams will need a better effort after leaving Kyushu and entering the final and last title race.
