The RSX oil pressure switch has a well-earned reputation for crying wolf. It fails, the light comes on, and the internet tells you to replace the switch and move on. That advice is correct roughly half the time — and engine-destroying the other half. Before ordering parts, spend twenty minutes confirming whether the K20 is lying to you or asking for help. The test is straightforward. The cost of skipping it is not.

The K20A2 and K20A3 share the same 2.0-liter K-series architecture, but their compression, VTEC hardware, output and performance potential are substantially different.
