Fresh for the 2014 racing season, AEM has released their newly redesigned CDI ignition coils with a few optional features. The new coil number is a 30-2854 meant for the Honda series of engines but are now the standard two wire dumb coils, making transitioning from one ignition setup to another seamless.The new part number in question is the 30-28.54

The new coil design features the same housing as the popular K-Series coils but are now two-wire “dumb” coils designed to be used with high-energy CDI systems. The new AEM Pencil Coils include a mounting hole that aligns with the stock Honda B-, D -, H- and K-series engines, or can be mounted with a custom mount bracket. (See the new images below.)
The new coils measure 170 mm in length, eliminating the need for both the short and long version of the coils. Each kit includes mating connector(s), mating connector locks, wire seals, terminals and dielectric grease.
These parts replace the existing part numbers: 30-2850, 30-2850-4PK, 30-2851 & 30-2851-4PK.
