The 2013 Formula DRIFT Championship crown was captured by Michael Essa, who fought valiantly to finish strong despite breaking down during the Top 32 Battle. Entering the final round as the points leader, Essa held on to capture the title of champion despite a hard charge from second place points leader Chris Forsberg.
