Coming up on the 30th anniversary of the legendary roadster, Mazda has unveiled the Limited Edition MX-5 Miata. Generations of Mazda fans have grown up with the diminutive 2 , and expectations are high for the 30th Anniversary MX-5. There will be just 500 units brought stateside, and the demand figures to be high so let’s take a look.
The Limited Edition MX-5 Miata will be more than just orange, hosting a variety of performance upgrades. Given the nature of the roadster, Mazda hit all the right cues with the 30th Anniversary MX-5.
Complete at each corner is a set of Bilstein shock absorbers, designed to improve on the incredible balance that the MX-5 is known for. Fitted with four Rays ZE40 RS30 forged wheels, and sticky rubber, the Limited Edition MX-5 Miata is ready to attack the track. Keeping the power evenly distributed is a Club trim limited-slip and a host of related suspension components.
A set of Alcantara racing seats are housed in the cockpit, where the Racing Orange theme is quite persuasive. There’s also intake and hard piping coated with the bright hue of Orange, a harken back to Mazda’s racing heritage with the Miata.
Mazda reports that there will be a total of 3000 Mazda Miata 30th Anniversary editions built. The limited run means that you’ll need to get started ASAP if you want a chance at owning a Limited Edition MX-5 Miata.
