Zach Zadoo Wins SEMA Young Gun Regional

Hailing from the bay, builder Zach Zadoo took home the regional SEMA Young Gun competition. Head at the 33rd Good Guys West Coast Nationals Show, Zadoo’s ’31 Model A was all the rage. He will go on to compete in the quickly expanding SEMA Young Gun competition, where he will compete against some of the youngest builder talent in the world.

The Young Gun series will return to the Street Machine Nationals this year, with 2 qualifying rounds to be held in Illinois and Minnesota respectively. Zadoo will definitely have our support headed into the competition, and we wouldn’t want to bet against his unique build.

Zadoo’s car is pristine in this video, that highlights the amount of dedication and hard work he’s poured into his project. It will be interesting to see how his car stacks up against the competition for the SEMA Young Guns qualifiers, however, because the competition looks to be as steep as ever.

In case you were wondering the SEMA Young Gun competition is open to anyone ages 27 or younger. Their project vehicle must be one of their own building and is voted on by a dedicated SEMA panel for one of the qualifying events.

The 2019 SEMA car show will feature 10 vehicles in the SEMA Young Gun competition. You can reference more of the series through their website at www.semayoungguns.com. Are you headed to the SEMA Show this year? We are looking forward to watching the Battle of the Builders, and with any luck Zadoo will be participating.

Should Zach emerge as the winner, he will move onto the prestigious SEMA Battle of the Builders competition. As a representative of the Bay Area, I’ll be rooting for his ’31 to go all the way.
