The hype around the Chevy Corvette C8 has been building for quite some time now and has ramped up in recent weeks. Despite the technical issues that have plagued the flagship bowtie, Chevy seems to finally have gotten their act together. Some Corvette spy shots have finally surfaced, and it appears as though the C8 has taken on some very Ferrari like styling.

Shared by the folks over at Motor1.com these photos reveal a striking exterior, but unfortunately without any shots of the Corvette interior. The mid-engine flagship from Chevy is scheduled for official release in a few months, but we don’t blame those hungry for more Corvette news. For longtime Corvette enthusiasts, the Chevy Corvette C8 looks to build upon the success of the previous generation. For traditional Corvette enthusiasts, this may be a departure from the norm but we like the exterior of the Chevy Corvette C8. The interior, on the other hand, seems to have the Internet up in arms.

While The interior for the C8 takes a far departure from the Corvette, with distinctive styling cues that look to borrow concepts from other GM vehicles.

Some of the obvious styling cues from the interior of the Chevy C8 include but are not limited to the two-spoke steering wheel and boomerang style lower form factor. Much like the Yukon or the Denali, the Chevy Corvette C8 stereo controls are built into the steering wheel, although with vastly different styling.

What we can tell from the interior of the Chevy Corvette C8 is the automatic transmission paddle shifters. While that seems like it’s a bit of a step back from the traditional manual transmission, the C8 incorporates new features such as the center mounted analog tachometer and speedometer.

Fuel and temperature gauges are located along the bottom of the C8 instrument cluster. Additional readouts such as G-forces and check engine codes are displayed through the side panels. Rounding out the interior of the Chevy Corvette C8 is what appears to be a functional rear view mirror, complete with rear-facing camera and additional functions.
