Fourth Gen Sentra Stereo Wiring Guide 2000–2006

The next generation of Nissan Sentra forgoes the single DIN layout and uses a customized center console. This makes for an aesthetically pleasing Sentra radio but this change does require that you use a stereo install kit.

Without the right install kit, you will have a hard time installing your Sentra radio.

Car Radio Constant 12v+ Wire: Pink
Car Radio Switched 12v+ Wire: Blue
Car Radio Ground Wire: Gray
Car Radio Illumination Wire: Red/Green
Car Stereo Dimmer Wire: Red/Yellow

To access the mounting screws you will need to remove the face of your center console. Once you have the climate control vents removed and the plastic panels around your climate controls, you can take out your factory Sentra car stereo.

Most stereo install kits will include a new plastic face that will surround the single DIN stereo to make it look right. Installing a double DIN stereo into this generation Sentra will be very difficult to do.

Depending on the trim of your Nissan, there’s going to be big changes to your Sentra factory stereo. You will of course require a custom install kit, and may need a wiring kit to eliminate or bypass the stereo integration or your navigation system.
