Quad Turboed 2JZ S14 Swap is Epic

We saw these images floating around Instagram earlier in the week and like many people, dismissed it as a fake. After all, what looked to be a oddball implementation of four turbochargers, with two sticking out of the right hand side of this S14 made it a funny looking experiment with Photoshop, or so we thought.

Turns out this S14 is very real and in fact, very epic. Unlike the sequential turbocharger system that the 2JZGTE sported from the factory, this system feeds the front three cylinders to a pair of TD06-17C turbos, and the rear three cylinders to a pair of monstrous Greddy T88-34D turbochargers.

Remember those? The T88 may be old and outdated, but that won’t be stopping this crazy S14 owner.

My God…

Once known as the King of Supra turbos, the T88 lives on as a homage to days of glory past in this crazy S14 Silvia. You know, when manufacturers and tuners like Greddy actually cared about performance.

From the guys at Noriyaro, reports are that this monster is no more laggier than any other big frame turboed 2JZGTE. Something that we personally find to be an incredible feat considering the amount of plumbing, fabricating and mounting that this car must take. Make no mistake, this Quad Turboed 2JZ S14 is as incredibly awesome as it sounds.

Holy cow…

As you can imagine, there’s not much room in the engine bay for anything other than exhaust header, wastegate and turbos. Hell there’s not even room for the HVAC controls or heater lines as those are mounted to a remote radiator that sits on the hood. With the radiator mounted in the rear and a Toyota SW20 electric power steering pump managing the steering, this S14 is as wild as it comes.

Once King of the 2JZ, the T88 is an old relic by today’s standards

The four turbos culminate to deliver more than 3 bar of boost pressure to the three liter inline six, which is well over 45 psi.

According to Noriyaro.com, the owner looks to be adding yet another turbocharger… Making this quad turboed 2JZ S14 one of the craziest builds we’ve seen in a long time.
