Default why are you into cars?

i started off when i got interested in car stereos. i had a pretty nice system in my F-150 but i knew the truck didn't have a lot of performance potential.

next i became interested in drifting so I got an S13 and put sway bars, intake, exhaust, springs, shocks, short shifter, and LSD in it. then i wondered why i was doing it. just so i could drive faster to work and school? i went driving in the mountains often, but it still didn't feel like there was any point, other than it was fun.

then my friend took me to the street races, and while i thought the races were stupid, i realized that those people actually had goals. they modified their cars so they could win races.

with that new mindset, i decided to try a drift event at a track. i was doing okay until my engine blew. I rebuilt the engine with higher compression pistons, but that motor only lasted a few weeks (it was my first engine build and i did it all wrong)

next I picked up my FC. it already had aftermarket shocks, springs, and exhaust, so i didn't do much besides fix broken things. i got a job at a local performance shop and learned a bunch of stuff there, then I took the FC to 12 drift events over the summer and fall, improving each time. also during that time, i helped wizardsleeves build his LS1 powered FD. finally i got a set of coilovers and took the FC to a couple 3 mile road coarses for drift and road racing. unfortunately, i nearly blew the engine at my last event.

I had just gotten a good job, so i bought a 98 camry for a daily driver, and we started building my FC. that's where i am now, and the FC is almost done.

so why am i into cars? i still don't know really, but it's fun to drive on race tracks and pass people and know that i built my own car and it's good.

why are you into cars?

I'm into cars to get laid just kidding

I believe hooking up your car is an expression of yourself...like an artist with a painting. I'm also into the race scene but I'm more into road racing, time trials and time attacks.

I just checked your page. you got a nice list of mods but i didn't see any EM. How are you controlling timing and a/f ratios? What are your fuel mods?

my uncle was always into cars and got me started by going to his house and helping him on his projects.... he was always into Mopars and that kind of rubbed off on me, but I do like pretty much all cars.

i've basically been into cars my whole life. i use to go to the strip with my dadwhen he had a 9 sec vega so im continueing the tradition just in imports. its not the matter of getting laid but for some reason every car i get the girls love my car's i get. to me its an expression how i feel i like going fast but doing it safe. i had tried to get into the muscle car scene when i got my first car (89 camaro) my dads dream car. but it didnt go for my the feeling of have a 4 cylinder that can beat a v8 no problem is just an adreline rush thats indescribable.
