Default B&M CommandFlo Fuel Pressure Regulator

We will be installing a B&M Fuel Pressure Regulator into a Jackson Racing Supercharged 2000 Honda Civic.

The install of the B&M CommandFlo is straightforward procedure, and can be installed by any average mechanic.

Tools you will need
  • A fuel pressure gauge such as B&M or AutoMeter
    10mm Socket and Drive
    3/16", 1/2" wrench
    Pliers
    Hacksaw
    7/64" Hex Wrench

Before you begin the install it is a good idea to read through all the applicable information and directions that come with the CommandFlo

The first step or the install is to disconnect the positive terminal from the battery. This ensures that there is no possibility of any strange accidents related to fuel.

Next, connect a fuel pressure gauge to your stock regulator to determine your stock fuel pressure. If you know what your stock pressure should be at, skip this step.

Now open your gas filler cap, this will relieve pressure from the fuel line that you will be disconnecting later.

Next, disconnect the vacumn line from your stock fuel pressure regulator. This is the smallest line connected to your stock FPR.

Locate some used rags and place them under your FPR to catch the fuel that will drip out of your rail and / or lines.

Undo your fuel return line clamp.

Disconnect the fuel line completely after you have undone the clamp, use caution here as fuel may spray / leak out of this line

Use your hex wrench and undo the fpr from the fuel rail. Depending on your application, this may be hex bolts or 10mm bolts.

Make sure you do not lose any bolts and any orings that are associated with the FPR.

Look at your FPR, as we will be cutting the top half of it off to install the aftermarket FPR.

Carefully use the hacksaw ( we are using the shop bandsaw here ) to cut off the top of your stock FPR.

When you are done you will see a plunger and spring assembly inside.

Take a look at your CommandFlo instructions and assemble your CommandFlo on your stock FPR as directed.

Once you have assembled your new FPR, make sure all the screws are tight and snug.

Make sure the oring is intact and put your new FPR back onto your fuel rail. You are done! if you have a fuel pressure gauge, now would be a good time to connect it and adjust your pressure to its desired level.
