Default BLOX Catback Install on a 2004 Honda Civic Si

As with all of our writeups, please use extreme caution when modding your car. If you are not familiar or mechanically inclined, take your car to someone that is.

Tools you will need to install the catback onto your Civic :
  • Penetrating Oil - Not required
  • 12mm socket
  • 14mm socket
  • 17mm socket

First secure the car on a lift / jack / jackstands.

Now, lay out your BLOX catback, and make sure all gaskets, bolts and nuts are present

Begin spraying the old nuts and bolts with some sort of Penetrating Oil to assist in taking off the stock nuts. This step is not needed if your car is new, the vehicle we have here is from the east coast, so things were a little rusty.

Get to the back of your stock catback

First undo the cat bolts, they are 14mm as shown here :

Next, undo the midpipe from the rear section :

Here is a comparison shot of the stock axle back compared to the BLOX one :

Now, pull off the stock midpipe, and replace with the BLOX one :

Next, pull off the stock axle back, pull off the rubber hangers, and put them onto the BLOX axleback. Put that on the car :

Now tighten down the midpipe to the cat by using the supplied gasket, nuts and bolts :

Now connect the axleback to the midpipe, make sure to use the gaskets

Congratulations! you are now done! enjoy your new exhaust!
