Default info on hondata or tuning v-afc

my buddy has a turboed h22 accord. hes running rich. he has a v-afc, and is gonna get a hondata. frst question is how do u tune the v-afc for fuel control? and secondly when he buys th hondata what does he need to look 4? can he buy a standard hindata ecu or does he need to get one specially made for boost? thanx brandon

If he has the VAFC now, you should go to a dyno, for a rough tune, depending on the car, you can log what the 02 sensor is telling you, and base your tune off of that. Its not a difficult tool to use at all. The RPM points, which are adjustible, are plotted and you can adjust your fuel and vtec engagement wherever you like and base it off of your throttle position as well. Hondata S200 would be the minimum I would recommend for turbo applications, S300 if you are a baller or like the bells and whistles. After that any experienced Hondata tuner can dyno tune the car for part throttle, wot, upped boost whatever. Let us know how it turns out. Good luck
