amps are like anything else. you get what you pay for. you are better off taking your 150-200 bucks and buying a lower wattage higher quality amp. what are you looking to run with it?

you get what you pay for w/ electronics. i would say stay away from the cheap stuff, bc youll not be satisfied and end up spend the extra money in the end. buy JL audio, kicker, pheonix gold, alpine.

By mentioning bass, i'm assuming you are wanting to power subs. It doesnt really matter if u buy a mono or a multichannel. I would by a mono because it is easier to set the gain and less of a hassle with wiring, but as far as ebay goes, just look at the sellers feedback rating. It'll say % positive feedback, i wouldnt go any lower than a 98% positive feedback. If you find anything on there, let me know and send me the link and i'll check it out for you. I bought my entire system off ebay. Instead of paying the 3k its worth, i didnt even pay a third of that.

Dont get those ebay amps. Trust Me. I got a 4000watt(supposably) pyle amp and it wouldn't even push my two 12" xtant x2's. So I sold it and bought a 1200watt jbl and it was making them hit so hard I thought they were going to blow. I would recomend the jbl amp's to everyone.

one thing to think about, dont go off the max power that the amp says, try to get a continous or RMS rating that the amp is really going to run at. Example: Sony has a two channel out thats says 1200 watts on it, where they got that number I'll never know but the actual rating is about 300 RMS at 4 ohms bridged and 120 RMS per channel at 4 ohms. Kicker, JL, MTX, etc. names their amps based on what they actually run at and typically perform higher than that. Contrary to popular belief that only one sub can be hooked up to a mono amp, you can in fact hook up as many as you want to them you just have to know to how to wire it. Typically you find the more premium line companies putting the more realistic rating on the amp.

From the audio dealers around here they say that Pioneer is the only company that even has their amp specs in the ball park of what they really run.

I bought cheaper speakers online which were new to the market and they sound amazing and cost less. Kind of a gamble when you do it, but I got nice speakers through out my car for $100 which included shipping. I suggest buying from an ebay store rather than an individual though, you can get nice name brand stuff for much cheaper on there, because it comes from the factory, plus you have a better guarantee than from an individual and they're brand new parts
