i know that sparco and momo make hub adapters for cars, you would remove the factory wheel(with airbag) and put the hub adapter on then attach the new wheel to the hub. there is also a company that makes quick release hubs so when you park your car you can take your wheel with you, a good theft deterant

hope this helps

also the momo hub you will need for your car is part number 2401 it is the same thing i have on my 99 cav.

Yep, any aftermarket steering wheel hub. Call up Pro Street, and tell them you need a momo Hub for a 96 cavalier, they'll hook it up.

Yep, Demigod is right. There are aftermarket wheels out there with airbags too, but never really looked into them.

just make sure you don't trigger the airbag when you're taking the old one off. that wouldn't be fun.

The airbag mechanisms aren't located in the steering wheels, so he will be fine.
