Talking newb tuner

I just got into cars recently after seeing my bro run a 9.5 in the 8th w/ his SRT4 but i have this idea to start working on a mazdaspeed6 when i get back from iraq 06 or 07 which ever one i can aford after i get back. i know some of the parts are going to be hard to get but the main issue is front mounting the intercooler and finding some of the other aftermarket parts. plus the weight of the car is kinda heavy but i can deal w/ that. any other ideas????

Welcome Michael H. Mounting the front mount won't be hard. It will take some work I'm sure, but it can be done.

If you're getting a Mazdaspeed 6, don't do any weight reduction to it. It's a nice car, it's not meant to be gutted.

For the same price, you can get an EVO. I would rather go with an EVO for what you want to do, and you can stomp on your brother's SRT4

Be careful out there in IRAQ!

welcome. the front mount won't be hard just running the piping would be the hard part.
my friend has a protege that he just boosted and hes about to do the front mount. what he did for now was a top mount with a saab intercooler looks good. not efficent for good boost though. a lot of heat soak. but i think he said he needed the inlet and outlet on the same side on the front mount. if that helps any
