Smile project rx-7

hey everyone so i finally decided on what i was going to get and i decided to buy a project 94 TT Rx-7. and now im debating on buying a HKS turbo upgrade or a GReddy upgrade kit. which would you chose? or should i just go custom with this and make it creative? i still have a lot of work ahead of me...

First you need some new seals :-X

What are your goals/plans with the car? Once we establish that, we can go from there

hey i can help with this question if youd like. ive done a lot of research on single turbos for rx-7s. i looked at many options when building mine and finally decide on the GT35R. its very important that you specify what hp range you are looking for and what your budget is, bc there are MANY different setups you can go and i can help you but need to keep your goals in mind. what will you be doing with the car mostly?

whatever you do, make sure you do your research because an rx-7 isnt like every other car. you cant just strap a new turbo on it and go you must have EXTENSIVE supporting mods for almost any mod you do. they can be a pain, but once its running right there is nothing like it!

you are looking at a hell of a lot of time and money to do a 20b swap into an FD. what is your budget like?
Also i saw that you are thinking of using it as a daily driver. i love my car to death and it takes very good care of me but i would never really want to use her as a daily driver. not usually a good idea with FDs.

i built my car to be very multi purpose. i can autocross it and be very competitive, turn up the boost and drag race it and do very well, or just street it. an ebc and standalone are beautiful things with these cars.
as far as a 20b goes you could easily get it to cost you 20-30k. if you want a fast daily driver you might try a corvette, or you could do corvette engine swap into the seven. its very popular, very fast, very reliable, and half the price of 20b.
