I own a 95 Honda Civic. I have some mods done to it, mostly to lighten the car. The DX engine has been replaced with a GSR B18C1. The tranny is alos a JDM GSR. most the light weighting has been done to the interior. There have been control bars to help with handeling. She handles like a dream right now. But i am up for any good ideas.

you want ideas to lighten it? well how much do you like power steering and a/c? you could take those off, its like 70lbs or so. adn then get a lightweight pulley.

IMO, removing that stuff isn't worth it, as it makes your car uncomfortable, and you won't notice any improvement really.

So far what i wanna do is lighten the car a little more. Almost everything put into the interior is carbon fiber. i put some light weight parts into the engine to also lighten the car. i got a bar over the engine and across the backseat floor board and under the trunk area to keep the car from twisting as it turns. i am looking more for a little on the top end of speed. I would like to know where i can get the best low weight parts to increase my top end. Acceleration for me right now is great. It could be better it runs in the low 14's to high 13's. Anyway thanx for the posts and keep me updated on ideas. My real goal is street drag. not so much as in power but low end local drag, if you know what i mean. i want some of these local punks who think they got the best shit in the country when they are running a stock end of an ass. All because they put a few mods on a body kit and a wing. I wanna pink slip race and take the cars and sale them right off the bat. HAHA. So any good ideas on how to make the cars top end a little faster to be just out of reach for other cars. I looked into a few turbo's & superchargers. I seen that the turbo might be the best choice for a GSR engine.

NOS..... install a kit that nobody can find w/ the small "Sneaky peat" bottles. will give you that edge. Just hide everything so if they are lookin under the hood or in the car they wont find anything.

I want something more in the long run. Something i don't have to keep refueling. Which do you think is better for the B18C1. Turbo or Supercharger?
Also i am looking for a lightweght body kit. Where is the best place to get a body kit and a wing? |

Peakboost.com for a turbo or full-race.com
Remember, what you take off the car, you may gain in weight from roll caging or strengthening the chassis. You'd have to get creative as far as cutting weight. I have an advantage given my car started out at around 1800-1900 lbs. As fas as the kit goes, I'd go for lips from: jdmland.com or intecracing.com |

If you want big numbers go turbo and a meth injection and if you want to hide it get a remote kit from squire and one of thoes quiet BOV's.
