it's good, from just one i saw it seems okay, t25.

that should be right size if i remember.just make sure you get the one with like 6 or 7psi.

if you get one with like something higher, than you'll probably blow your engine, unless he kit has all that is required to run good with out blowing up.

and the price tag, your one of the lucky ones, lol. some people with other cars need to pay like 2x more.

so yeah i would recommend it, but if there's some fabrication needed for example like drilling a hole in the oil pan then maybe you should ask the pro street technical service.

or maybe if you live close to them have them install it,lol.

but, i don't feel like you should take my opinions.

I personally wouldn't recommend turboing a car with stock internals and stuff. It may be able to handle 4-7 psi but I still wouldn't do it if it were me

thing is ive got another motor torn down and i want to do forged rods and all that but the turbo that comes in the kit is the garrett t-20...not to much boost but enough to where its noticed and the way these motors are built i doubt that itd go out easily

as far as how fast it goes out, its all dependant upon a couple things
1. what is done to the engine, so it can handle more boost
2. if the boost is set to the correct psi for the engine
3. if everything is tuned correctly
4. if the engine is built correctly
5. what turbo/what brand/built correctly
6. everything is hooked up correctly
and 7. how the driver takes care of the car. the car may be able to handle 10 psi of boost with no problem, but if you are always hot rodding it everywhere you go, its going to go bad

there are probably some other factors, but i cant think right now :P

yea i understand the factors and risks and what not i mean its a garrett t-20...doesnt/wont put out that much boost plus itl be on a fresh motor...not like im bolting it on with 130,000 miles or somethin. im gunna take it out for about 4000 miles let it break in properly after i get it dyno tuned change the oil every 2000 miles and switch to synthetic after its broken in. new pistons rings and if i can find forged rods for it or a company that will make me some im not gunna turn it down no matter how much itl cost...this is no half assed build. i refuse to go over 8 psi firstly because its dumb and i know stock compression pistions wont hold. heck even if i drop it down to 10 to 1 it wont be able to go over 12 psi...4psi makes a difference but its not a difference i want to mess with right now lol

if i remember right it's every 500 miles , on oil change on a rebuild engine, cause well there's a lot of damage done in the break-in period, other than that your theory seems very true.

o just remember pay attention to you car check for any leaks, weird noise and let it rev at 1.5k rpm for 20min. if i remember right.

edit: don't let it idle, will cause damage.don't take short trips, cause i think it was 75% of engine damage is caused from start up.

just remember to not let it get tortured for the 3k miles.

i'm not sure i'm probably mistaking but was it that they just stroke the engine up to 2.4L.so if he did, make it to 2.7L congrats.

there's only a few people who are skilled enough or lucky who are able to stroke it beyond what anyone can, there was a toda stoker kit for the miata but i think it was like 2/8 were successful
and on the ecu your so right, lol. if it truly is hard to crack a ecu from the factory then there's a lot of tuning and dynoing that needs to be done. do you know of a place were they dyno in your area?did you find one?

so now i have a question, so are you gonna turbo it?
