man remember that a lot of aftermarket manufactures test their products for real results, most do, not all however. just because you gut you cat, hack up the exhaust and fab up a short ram dosent mean your going to make power. do some homework, i would suggest going on ebay and buying a book called "neon performance" i bought it and read it front to back. it talks alot of specifics about our cars, what works for hondas, might not work for you. plus you can read though it and find a good starting point for you neon. just take the time and do it right. do gut your cat and hack up your ride so that it sounds riced out. figure out what you want and work towards a goal.

it could mean the difference between this....

and this....

well i can somewhat say to have the same thing the stock intake piping has on the metal piping of the custom one, the exhaust side same thing make sure it connects to the same points as the stock exhuast piping, make sure there's very little vibration cause if there's some then your actually in some way losing power caused by the turbulence, leave the cat on remember legal stuff , in other words, stay in the legal tuning.there was a guy who did a 13b swap but i noticed it vibrated alot ,engine and exhaust system(seems like swap isn't perfected).

and the header side, maybe even intake manifold, if your gonna make those custom make same length piping and connect them by order of firing.

well those are my guesses. o and a good cooling system is also a plus, remember heat also robs power.

Rofl at the black neon pic. But seriously, the guy who drives that has got to have some pretty massive and brass ones to drive around public streets with untinted windows so people can see who's driving that.

but really, man, save up some money and when you get enough, buy some parts from reputable manufacturers. i mean, you drive american, not japanese. there's no need for you to be rolling around town, like me, with zip ties and duct tape holding together ghetto mods and praying your car doesn't fall apart on the highway.
