yeah it looks like a aftermarkey handle.. and yes I do wonder what the car was used for but more so whats in it.. i don't remember seeing anything under the hood that stood out as aftermarket so why have the stickers? the muffler and lowered? does it have internals? chipped?

yeah i dont know. hopefully it turns out being a fairly easy fix for ya and you can start modding it up. Have you had time to try and diagnose whats wrong woth it?

man i'm still waiting for them to finish the paper work so i can bring it into town D: .... -.- hurricane Ike didn't help any ... i'm only online right now cuz i'm useing a generator ..... it sucks... no idea when power will be restored .... atleast the only major damage to my place or my parents was that part of the fence got blown over :/ .....

reminds me of when i was little at the trailer parks, the roof/top of the porch got blown off and it flew like 3-5 trailers away,lol.

a little more of a update we are "supposed" to hae power by monday we'll see if that happens or not it would be great.. lets see my grandmother called she said they laywers office gave her a "handful wad" of keys and said they don't know which key it is but that my key is in there some where. try them all and give back the other ones XD .... also the last of the paper work is being done so this next weekend i should have the car in town and by monday get it looked at and see what the damage is...

We shall Know soon Jev.. i got the car dropped of ay my buddys shop yesterday (saturday) NONE of the keys they gave my grandma fit so hes going to have his locksmith come out and make a key so they can make it easier to move around.. i got a short glance under the engine too. i see a few leaks but i didn't notice anything major (ie rod though the pan) we did however find out that the guy that bought the car got it from police auction.. so it was most likely related to drug bust street racing arrest... or well anyother reason they could find to impound a car.. .. I'm still going to have him replace some things just out of safety sake... after he glances at it and we don't find any major snags.... I'm sure some time monday night i'll get a phone call with what they found so far... as long as my net is working i'll send a update when i get some info

yesterday morning the shop got one of there lock smiths to come out and make some keys.. as of this moment they havent called me wth a diag. I don't know my place in line... but i did figure out what that little box hanging with the radio stuff is... its a Turbo Timer... i think it was a Greddy

well first part of the repair is a head gasket ... aparently there was 5 bent valves ... but they have the head back and maybe monday it will go back on. of course they are goign to do all the timing components (belt pullys blah blah) wile its off ... there is a old shift knob pluging up some part of the intake near the filter .... i don't have a picture but it looks really stupid and were goign to try and figure out what is "supposed" to be there.... i might just try to order a cold air kit and see if i can just be gone with it ... I got the chance to glance around the engine bay a little and for the most part everything else looks stock .... i didn't think at the time to pull off the intake tubing and check the turbo for play ... but anyway thats where its at so far ... trying to think positive and see my in a week or so driving it ...

maybe a owner at some point did.. but the gear shift pugging a intake hole make me think not any any one recent. Lol

well yet another update small but one that makes me happy.. after the head got reinstalled they called me saying it was runing.. bearly but running.. its getting a new fuel pump and filter to fix is fuel problem and it may need a coil for the weak spark issue.

well most of all that other stuff is fixed ... headgasket, fuel pump/filter, a little wireing repair THey had the car running off injector cleaner to clean up the rails n such and they think that the valves might not have been all that were damaged ... they said it sounded like the engine was tapping moris code .. well hes pulling it all back out and striping down the bottom end to find out what exactly the noise is
