Hello, I have a 1992 Honda Accord LX and the AT selector cable i guess is stretched out so when it's in park, it's really in reverse. This car has been very well taken care of, it only has 79k miles on it. I read up about the AT selector cable and i found that it is a wear item that wears out with age, not miles. My question is this: How do I replace it?

Welcome to PSO, unfortunately I don't know the answer to that question but there are plenty of people on here who can help you out with that. Have you tried the honda forum here

dont have auto and mine is a little newer than your but most likely you will need to remove your center consol and first detach the cable from the gear select then go to you tranny and detach the cable from wherever it is attach in the engine bay then you will either pull the cable through the fire wall to completely remove it then just do the reverse with a new cable.
