I would leave it alone save your money and go buy a car worth making modifications to.

I agree, sell the car and buy a nice car that there are a lot of upgrades you can do, and as far as looking at body kits and what not just check out the PSO store by clicking the top left button
you can find body kits for tons of cars mate |

I wouldn't say sell it I would keep for a reliable daily driver to use when your toy is inthe shop or having upgrade done.

true however from just guessing on what body trim the taurus is as well as miles and options it came with I did kelly blue book and nada here is what came up
http://www.kbb.com/KBB/UsedCars/Pric... izConditions= http://www.nadaguides.com/usedcars.a...&z=14534&da=-1 mind you these are with 60k miles, if you were to sell it you could easilly buy a nice toy as well as a decent every day driver. I bought my car for 3k and with up to 10k for that car possibly more you could get a nice car to work on and put some significant work into it, or get 2 cars and work on one just my suggestions |

ok well lets start off first by asking this you say you will be receiving so I am guessing you didnt buy it or have the option of selling it is this right or can you sell it? as far as it goes for a dd the car isnt the greatest on gas and isnt the most realiable of cars either. ok with that out of the way if you are wanting a body kit you can go the cheap route of ebay or you can look at this site http://www.bodykits.com/store/bmy_se...urus&Year=2007 oh and welcome

Im sorry but.....Taurus? Mod? Those two words just dont belong in the same sentence to me. But hey if thats what youve got to work with have fun getting a better look. The white taurus isnt too bad in the pics above. If you sold it id imagine you could get 10 grand plus.
So, hey, good luck with the car and welcome to PSO |

thank all of you for your help
the truth is i'm seventeen and i'm getting the car from my dad for graduation, so i didn't buy it, and it's not really mine to sell, so what i'm trying to do is make the best of it. i would love to get a project car, but i'm not sure what kind. i was thinking perhaps a honda crx, but i've never worked on one of those before. are there any other cars that i should look at? another reason i want to mod a taurus is because i have never seen a mod-ed taurus before, and i get really annoyed with all of the civics and integras i see all of the time. I want to do something different. |

one more question that i forgot..
someone i know has a 2003 taurus, and hers looks exactly the same as mine, other than a few things under the hood that i've already replaced.. so as far as the body and interior go, could i use a kit for an older model taurus? |

some parts are changable from 2000-2007 other parts are 2004-2007 just use internet search for the things you want and see what comes up. sites will usually list all the years that their parts will fit

so youre saying that you have mod'd a car(s) before?
the crx isnt a bad choice i dont think. the crx should be easy to find parts for. ive seen some crazy mods on a crx. adn you could most likely get one real cheap. doesnt have to run, just as long as its fully intact. i think thatd be the fun of a project. as far as other cars to look for, what is it youre planning on doing with the car...show? daily driver? race, drag, drift? im not gonna be a great help on this site because im getting ready for my first project car. i like the older cars a bit better cause there arent as many damn wires and vacuum hoses. later |

well, i want it to be a race and show car, which is why i want the body kit and interior done.
it kinda has to be a daily driver too, because it's all i have |
