hey guys just got a new Mazda 3 4dr. 5speed. i'm just starting to get into cars. i know when your first get a car you aren't supposed to ride your engine hard, but how long should i wait? 600 miles?

welcome to PSO. 600 miles should be plenty, I usually tell my customers to ride normal for about 300 or so

ok thanks a lot..my dad was saying 3,000 - 6,000. now i can prove him wrong

no problem as far as I know 300-600 or so is pretty standard

welcome and just know this if your ride your engine hard and you blow your engine then it was too soon
