welcome, you should be taking power and ground from the necessary ports. If you are using a 6300 then u should splice into your coil packs stock.

welcome to forum.. and as far as the msd goes..... there shood be a red thick wire. that red wire goes to the positive battery terminal, the black thick wire you could ground it to any where on the chassis. there also has to be one black nd red thinner wire the other ones. i think ones a lil more orange then red. that skinnier black goes to the negative terminal on the coil pack. the red one goes the positve port on the coil. then there shood be a port for the gauge. if your going to run a tachometer just put a female adapter on the green wire and plug it in rite into the side wher the gauge adapter is. then you going to run a green nd black to the distributer and thee kit shood come with all the fittings to make it fit for your car... if you the sci ignition with the rev control, theres a trick to make it work correctly. once you have evryhting connected rite. try to start the car,if u dnt have the rev control nd the car starts then that means you did evrything rite. if you do have rev control then you put the smallest rev chip in the msd nd try to see if it starts to like a sorta pop sound.. its going to sound lik loud backfires.. but dnt worry it does no harm its suppose to do that. let me know if these helped if not ill try to send you something else..

you are correct, you need a DIS-2. Power ground - and splice the 2 signal wires to intercept your 2 twin coil signals. The dis-2 goes inbetween your 2 coils - 2 cylinders per coil
