Actually i am a big doofus. I thought these things attatched to the actaul strut bolts... not a couple inches over where I found plugs that once i removed.... revealed to holes on each side, which of course lined up perfectly

hmm mine attached right to the shock tower bolts in my engine but maybe it is because my car doesnt have struts. wonder how it ties the suspension together though if it doesnt accually connect to each tower. you will have to take a pic so I can see

hmmm iinteresting I would have never even thought to look at that. I would get highest grade bolt you can get just to be safe and a lock nut or lock washer to make sure it stays in place or it a prethreaded hole? looks like a 6mm bolt

Its kinda scary, its not prethreading, and doesnt look all that thick in gauge. I will take another look tonite, but i would expect some warping of the metal from the stress... we will see.

you can cut down a little on warping by using as large a washer as you can to try to spread out the weight but you should be good. like i said though since the bolt wont tread right into the body get a lock nut on it so you dont take a chance of the bolt working loose.

no problem. I would be more worried about that plastic piece breaking off first anyway or does it have metal under that blue plastic?
