Default cold air intake

i would like a cold air intake for my spi focus, but kits are rare and cost much more than for zeetecs, so what do i do? rig one up my self? kit the overpriced kit? or forget about it?

rig on up just go to like autozone or whatever the local autoparts store is and they have this kit from spectra i think that you can creat your own CAI

short ram if you live in an area with sonw or a lot of rain otherwise get cold air. also if you go the spectre custom build route you could go cold air in the summer and when winter or rainy season comes just disconnect the section leaving your engine bay and connect the filter up inside and run short ram. then you can have the best cold air in the summer but not worry about sucking water in the winter plus the air is colder in the winter anyway

make one... take off you currnet intake tube and trace it out on paper or take it with you to autozone and find the spectre intake parts to make one the same shape as your stock you can do it. the have different str8 lengths as well as 90 degree turns 45 degree turns and ton of adapters you just wont have a parts list to work from

swap a 302 into the ranger, it's very easy and will make a really fun ride, check out my buddies ranger with a 302 swap
