Im told that AEM is good as well as Injen but im also told that if i buy a cheap Ebay CAI tube and replace the filter with a K&N filter, then it will be just as good. What do you guys suggest?

you can find nitrous kits on craigslist or Ebay pretty cheap they also sell a short ram intake (dragon R secret weapon) that frees up about ten horses check it out

well the reason i want to do it on an intake is because my friend has one and the sound it makes is sexy as hell lol so i want one now. the added HP is just a bonus

lol well look at it from my point of view. Im 18, and im in highschool. Im more worried about what others thing that what I think. Im trying to impress people here lol. Besides, my cash flow is limited so the less expensive of the two is the way to go.

no offense but that's not very smart, build a car that YOU like and do it for yourself, if you are just going to be a follower and do what's " cool " at the time you'll never really be happy with any of your cars and they'll end up being full of mix matched parts and won't look good or run well

I only really plan to put in a CAI, headers, and possibly a chip. If i do anything else, it will only be minor visual modifications. Its not really a very reliable car so i dont want to put too much money into it.

just do an ebay cai the filters are fine on there basically the same as you would find from spectre and others at your auto store. that way you only spend like 50 bucks and not worry too much about it

I got a Spectre Performance CAI filter for $30. I put it on the stock piping and removed the air box and put the PCM in the bottom where the box came from. It has worked fine for me. You can buy a generic intake filter and build a custom pipe for it for like $20 if you search around some performance forums for your car.
