Yes my PCM is in the filter box. The MAF is just in front of the throttle body. Why would a MAF be in your intake box?

the maf is in the filter box on early eclipses and on my wifes saturn why in the hell would the cars computer be in the filter box?

Because electronics life is shortened by heat and cold. Plus it helps protect it from water.
