do the svts come with a tach. i think your best shot is go to the junk yard and get a cluster froma focus with a tach and swap em out

from what I read you just plug in the same plug from your cluster and the tach should work at least the article didnt say anything about have to wire the tach. also look up your dealership in the phone book and call the parts and service number

i am trying still to hook up my tach but i am stuck on the fact i only found 18 pinhole instead of 48

was ford any help? The pinhole #48 was in the instructions for a 02 f250 so yours prolly wouldnt be the same. on of those pinholes should work or you can still try the svt dash cluster swap

ford was no help, they told me not to customize my car, haha, i guy on you tube said he used pinhole 48, but i only found up to eighteen.

call back ford and say if they dont want you to customizer your car they should get it right the first time so youdont have to. maybe the number 48 is eched on it instead of being the 48th pin hole. you could always trouble shoot and try them all until one works but you might screw something up. really think you should hit up the junk yard or search ebay for a used svt focus cluster

oh I just had one last thought. is your a manual? does it have a shift light? if it does try to trace that wire back to the pcm I am willing to bet if you splice your tach into that wire it will work because the shift light has to keep track of your rpms to tell you when to shift
