Lightbulb Gmc Jimmy Help

ok so we got the jimmy and fixed some little things but i cant get the anti-lock brake light to go off and we found a wire that was melted and re connected it and it didnt do anything and i was wondering if anyone had some ideas to help and i was wondering if anyone knew how i could get the digital guages to light up because they arnt working either

there could be a seperate wire for the lights or you have them hooked into the fuse box and the fuse is blown-check what else runs off the same power source and make sure that item(s) is working also. the brakes can be tricky if you have replaced pades or bled the brakes try placing a small piece of 2 inch thick wood under the pedal and re-bleed them this will keep the petal from going completly to the floor and posibly over extending the master cylinder and or letting very small amounts of air back into the lines. also check all fuses and relays. i have know of several s-10's with the same problem but dont know exactly what or if they got them fixed. this isnt much help but some do it yourself suggestions that are cheap to accomplish. good luck
