Default History of 3 diamonds

ok i found on another forum. heres the link to it http://www.dsmtalk.com/forums/showth...hlight=history

Most of us are familiar with the Mitsubishi automobile history, i.e., the history involving the Chrysler relationship, (Colts and powerplants
since 1971), and actual Mitsu cars, (Starion, Galant, etc.). I do wonder how many of you know this.

Here are some facts you don't run across at Wikipedia and definately not at Mitsu history web pages. I am paraphrasing to some extent.
As early as 1937, Mitsubishi were manufacturing war planes that far surpassed the capabilities and maneuverabilities of American planes.
The Mitsubishi Zero, (Navy type 0 Carrier Fighter Model 11), was amongst the first planes to be used as suicide attack planes. They were
also the planes that did the infamous run at Pearl Harbor. The A6M2 Model 21 was the version utilized at Pearl Harbor and throughout the
Pacific, during the early stages of the war. With its maximum speed of 288 kt @ 4,550 m and ability to climb to 6,000 m in 7 minutes 27 seconds,
it possessed an ascendancy over any other fighter type in the Pacific. When the war began on December 7, 1941, the Japanese Navy had 328
A6M2s in first line units. The A6M2 Mitsubishi final propeller design had three props instead of the ususal two, designed for variable pitch.

Next time you see the three-diamond design, remember where it came from; the props of the Mitsu Zero attack plane.

All of the Mitsu Zero attack planes had a TD05 turbo with a TSi badge on them too.

Just kidding about that last part.
