Default Installing an amp instructions

here are basic instruction for amp installs.
first if you only have one sub get a mono amp if you have more then one sub you need a multi channel and amp power should not be more than the max your subs can handle unless you get an amp that that you can "tune" your power and resonating frequency settings on. for example if you have two 700 watts subs like I do don't push more than 1200 watt amp through them. I use 1000 watt amp and they sound great. here are the basic steps

First you need to buy a kit rated for what ever watt power you have,
then the 4 gauge red wire needs to be connect directly to the battery, cut a piece about 8" long for the battery connection. at the end of the 8" section you nned to install the fuse that came with the kit. then take the rest of the 4 g. red wire and run it through your fire wall under the carpet and into your trunk or where ever you have placed your amp and connect it to the 12v power location on the amp.

Next comes the 4 gauge black wire. connect it to the ground location on your amp and then cut how ever long you nned to run it to ground (any metal part of the car) if you are in the trunk just screw it into the metal floor.

Next you have the rca wires you plug those into the back of your stero deck and run them hidden to the amp and plug them into the correct spot labeled on the amp.

the final wire is your blue remote wire. You should have a blue wire in the collection or wires that connect to your deck, unless you a using a stock radio which I dont recommend using. it could labeled as power ant. or remote power. splice into that wire and run it to your amp. This wires tells the amp to turn on when you turn on the stereo. I have never tried but if you dont have a blue wire in the back you could try connecting it to your red power cable for your deck (not the yellow for it is always on) it could work too but cant promise as I have never tried.

the final step after all that would be to take speaker wire and connect the amp to your subs.

Also choosing the right kind of box with affect the bass you get out of your speakers, sealed boxed produce the hardest hitting deepest sounding bass but have smaller frequency setting
bandbass produce a more even sounding bass thoughtout all frequency but it wont be as loud on the deep end.
to get the best sound out of your subs you need to find the resonating frequency of your car. to do that use this formula:
measure the distance from your firewall to the rear of the vehicle in feet.
wave resonance= 1130/FEET/2
1/4 wave resonance= 1130/FEET/4
when you get those frequencies to set the settings on your amp to get the hardest and loudest car shaking bass out of you system
