are you making him an offer stage?, Just depends on what you want, no one here can decide for you. With one car you will lose something as with another, Mustang = fast, Audi = classy, Eclipse = both, lol. find yourself a BMW for a good mix, but that won't leave much for upgrades.

If you look hard you might be able to find a E36 M3 for about 7, You could always look for a Merc they devalue so much faster. Maybe a 190E 2.3-16

LT1 is a very nice engine to mod up with lots of potential.

if you really are thinking about an audi a4 just look at volkwagon jetta (I am pretty sure they are the same) All audi is is the more expensive VWs. you get a little bit diffenrent looks on the body but as far as the engine goes and over all total car you would just be paying more for the same thing and that would also go for parts as well

actually that is not all correct. As far as i know, unless things have changed, Audis made for the US market are mostly built in Germany where VW are either made here or Mexico. Build quality for both brands are totally different.

you may be right on the quality but you still have to admit they are still basically the same vehicle

most vw for the us market are assembled in mexico. but most of the engines are the same type. some a4's are AWD and some are FWD, thats the only real diffrence in drive train. i would agree that vw is more affordable and capable of producing the same amounts of power. get yourself a R32 instead of the a4

That's like saying every engine builder or tuner is the same. Just because two companies share the motors, don't make the two cars the same. That's like saying every tuner will net the same numbers and reliability on identical cars!
