Default Best Engine (8 Cylinder)

Continuing the best engine series.

This is the section for engines with eight holes in them (flat eight, H8, I8, V8 etc.)
Eventually there will be sections for engines with 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 Cylinder engines. There will also be a section for “Exotics” witch will have less common layouts (rotary, hybrid, electric, steam and other engines that don’t have a category

Rules:
1. All nominations need to have some facts/merit behind them (no fan boys ex: ZOMFG ENGINE ____________ IS THE BEST EVER B/C IT’S FROM ___________!1!11!!!)
2. Any engine from anytime period, racing or street is fair game.
3. It does not need to be a car engine (airplane, boat etc.)

GAME ON!!

PS: Don’t forget about the other sections!!
Up tomorrow 10’s

as much as i hate to say it i have to agree the small block chevy is the most successful v8, it's got more head bolts then a ford, all parts are interchangeable same manifold will work on a 283 and a 400, and there were millions and millions of them made, any motor that's still being produced in basically the same form for 50 years must have something going for it

i preferr fords mainly because the mustang is a better overall car to modify not necessarily because i feel it has a superior v8 but those 5.0s are awefully fast and hard to kill

The best 8 cyl engine has to be the Hyundai Tiburon featured in Sports Compact Car with two 4g63's.

hands down the 426 hemi engine is the most efficient and historically enriched engine ever produced. if you have never taken a ride on an elephant you wouldn't know, but if you have had the privilege, you would feel the same way i do.
